The Ocala Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (with guest soloists and conductor Joshua Mazur) present the beloved, spirited, and moving Celtic music made famous by Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Celtic Woman, and Enya to the Reilly Mainstage.
From the Great Lakes to the vast swamps, Matthew Christoff has brought his lyric baritone styling to a wide variety of audiences. Matthew was raised in a family of liturgical musicians, a tradition that carried into his undergraduate studies at Saint Norbert College and beyond. He completed his Master of Music at the University of Florida in 2016. After performing in Puccini’s La Boheme as Marcello with Opera Theatre UF, Matthew returned to the Midwest. In his time back home, he has sung in revues with Fresco Opera Theatre, the role of Father in Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel with SNC Opera Workshop, King Melchior in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors with Skylark Opera Theatre, and several coro and small ensemble engagements with Minnesota Opera. Notably, he earned his first recording credit by participating in the first critical recording of Kevin Puts’ Silent Night with Minnesota Opera in 2018. Matthew additionally is passionate about vintage audio, maple syrup production, his family, and time in the forest.
