Join Arts in Health Ocala Metro (AIHOM) and the Marion Theatre for the inaugural Jam Corps Showcase, a special evening celebrating the power of music, creativity, and connection among local veterans.
The showcase features performances by veteran musicians from AIHOM’s Jam Corps and the Ocala Vet Center Jam Band, highlighting songs chosen and performed by the veterans themselves in an engaging, jam-band style concert. Audiences can expect a diverse selection of favorite tunes performed with heart, camaraderie, and a shared love of music.
Jam Corps is a community-based music program that brings veterans together through weekly jam sessions held at the local VFW. Designed to foster connection, self-expression, and belonging, the program welcomes veterans of all musical abilities in a supportive and low-pressure environment. While participation in the showcase is optional, the performance offers an opportunity for veterans who wish to share their musical journey with the community.
This event takes place on November 10, the day before Veterans Day, as a celebration of veterans, their talents, and the meaningful connections formed through music.
“Jam Corps” is funded in part by Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant program is managed by Mid-America Arts Alliance.
