The Favorite: Ben Fights For Dad is inspired by events in Luke Bernard’s life following a near-fatal car accident that resulted in a “miracle” healing. Luke walked out of the hospital, to the amazement of his doctors and nurses, after his parents were told he was not expected to live.

Luke suffers from insomnia because of the accident.  One evening, after being released from the hospital, he fell asleep and dreamed the story that became a script.

The script tells the story of two brothers, focusing on Luke’s physical and spiritual transformation.  The movie focuses on the family dynamics that result in false perceptions of how family members relate to each other. The Favorite: Ben Fights For Dad is the story of one distanced and agitated son, hurt by what he perceives as favoritism given to his younger brother, who then vents his anger through Mixed Martial Arts fighting.  The result is that he injures the very people he loves the most.

After this one-hour and forty-seven-minute movie, Luke Bernard will share about the near-death experiences that led him to write the movie script, what he has learned, and plans for the sequel’s release!
