The Ocala Reilly Arts Center Jazz Series proudly features an all-star lineup of University of Florida jazz faculty, led by Director of Jazz Studies Scott Wilson, an internationally acclaimed trumpeter, EVI virtuoso, and educator who has performed alongside legends such as Stevie Wonder and Benny Green. Joining him is Dr. Alex Pershounin, a world-class bassist and composer whose versatile career spans performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival to collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma. Clyde Connor, former U.S. Navy Band Commodores drummer, brings a wealth of big band, recording, and arranging experience, having performed with jazz greats including Dave Brubeck and Arturo Sandoval. On guitar, Edward White, a top featured UF Jazz guitarist and educator, showcases his rich blend of jazz and contemporary styles, while Noah Berdugo, a standout tenor saxophonist and dynamic educator, brings fresh energy and artistry. Rounding out the ensemble is award-winning jazz vocalist Annie Matot, whose captivating performances have made her a rising star in Florida’s jazz scene. Together, these remarkable artists promise an unforgettable evening of world-class jazz.
